Well, Thanksgiving is over and we all have to take our slightly larger butts out shopping now for Christmas. While many love Christmas time itself, I for one find the stores almost depressing.
I hope all reading realizes that the Christmas spirit has ABSOLUTLY NOTHING to do with how much a person spends on gifts. For that matter, some of the most meaningful gifts a person can get often costs nothing financially.
Keep that in mind and everyone will have a happier holiday season this year

Remember the movie “Rain Man”? Dustin Hoffman did a great job of playing the main role in which a mentally challenged man actualy had far above the average knowledge/skill on certain things. Well, not only did the man that the character was based on help us all learn a bit more compassion at the time, he is still helping us learn!

Maybe I’m just showing my age here but does everyone else remember when the holiday was fun for all ages?
Sure, it’s still fun to watch the little kids get dressed up but of course nowadays it seems you have to go to a mall or to your local shops to see them! The days of all kinds of little ghosts and goblins coming to your door excitedly yelling “trick or treat” seems to be about over. This folks is a sad duh when it comes to any holidays!
Folks celebrating together be it your neighbor or someone you just met through friends or work just do not seem to be the “norm” any longer. Why?
Politics and the ever looming terrorist threat we’ve all been told about?
Just plain unsociable people?
Living with the fear that we can not trust anyone? (or at least many say this)
OK, maybe there isn’t any good answers but I will say this to each and everyone of those reading this….
We better get a grip on things and become a unified country once again soon! Holidays or regular days.. we all should feel comfortable with interacting with others… if not, many doors/paths will be closed and we just might end up living in our own self created little “box” with no escape!
