It truly amazes me that anyone thought this film wouldn’t be a money maker.

Now I have not seen it yet although I do plan on it soon but I will say this… anytime someone can put blame of any level towards someone in power and those same people in power issue no sensible return information, you’re going to get many folks wanting to read or see the material in question. Be this the “car wreck” syndrome where folks are attracted to conflict/chaos or be it a case of folks wanting to know the truth… or at least someone’s opinion other than those that are in power, there was no question in getting people’s attention to go out and see the film. The only real question is these people’s motive for wanting to see it to begin with. Does it mean that we’re ready for “reality based” movies like the cop shows and so forth? Does it mean that folks feel they are being lied to by those in power? Hell, maybe it just means that the other film choices suck (h)

What’s your thoughts? Have you seen the film yet? Is it an enlightening experience of the every day duh factor in live or is it just plain “duh”?

OK, we have terrosim, criminal activity, political BS and a whole load of other problems to deal with these days. Job losses, money concerns, security concerns and so on… it’s just one big list.

So, at least we can still grab an ice cold soda from one of the numerous vending machines, kick back for a cool drink and forget about all of the above for at least a few moments, right? Wrong! Time to think again what’s safe and what isn’t.

I woke up this morning in a decent mood .. went out and oured a cup of coffee and opened the paper.

This was the turning point of the morning!

One of the top headlines was “Iraqis cheer at car bombing”

The story goes on to read that 13 people were killed and “Crowds rejoiced over the attack, dancing around a charred body shouting Down with the USA”

I’m not sure what you all think but enough is enough in my opinion! It’s time to pull out completely or deal with issues such as this in any manner beyond telling us all about it. Of course a person does have to wonder as well what the “rest of the story” is as we all know that the majority of news agencys decides what they do and do not want to mention. Spirit of the country? I see it fading at the present rate unfortunatly….

The only duh in this story would be for those that do not realize what the music world as well as humanity lost with the passing of this great man. A “poster child” for overcoming obstacles in one’s lives, Ray Charles will be sorely missed in my personal opinion.

This man gave his best effort all his life to bring folks joy… I hope you all take a few minutes for some silence to honor this great man.

Recently, there were some very large storms that moved through the area. These storms did some massive damage all over the area including houses, cars and so forth. This of course meant we had the “pleasure” of dealing with our home insurance as well as our car insurance company.

What do these two companies have in comon besides taking a person’s money? Thier dedication to getting out of paying everything they can!!!

Dealing with these compaines is worse than doing your own long form on your taxes. Actually, the tax form makes a bit more sense …lol

Have any of you had horror stories with your insurance comaines? Feel free to share them in this thread as personally, I think the whole concept of insurance (the way it’s set up now that is) is very well deserving of their own Duh Award.
