Duh alert - judges, cops, politicians are people also

Filed under: General — Administrator @ 9:47 am

Well now, here we are in the days of the “good guys” and the “bad guys” You have either the law abiding folks or those that do not concern themselves with the laws.

While most people would like to think that all of these professional people are the law abiding ones, they fail to remember that we all are human. This means we all make mistakes!

What’s the big difference really? Those in “power” do not have to pay the same prices as regular people. If you keep an eye on the story below, my money is the judge in this case won’t end up serving any time while people like you or I would get a few years at least for the same offense.

In my opinion, it’s just plain wrong!

Duh alert! Parents, beware of cops and your kids!

Filed under: General — Administrator @ 9:00 am

I’m not really sure about other countries and their laws but here in the US, things have gotten out of hand when it comes to the cops and your kids if they get in a little trouble.

Cops lying to your kid? Sure enough!! Will they tell them whatever they want to hear as long as it results in “another bust” for the cops? Yep, no doubt about it! How about the cops putting your child in harms way for another bust? They’ll do this without a second though and in the process, assure you there will be no problems.

What single word best describes this? BULLSHIT!!!!

Gone are the days when you can tell your children that the police are always there to help them … as with today’s police mentality, it all boils down to who they can bust and how good they can make themselves look.

Is being a cop a tough route to take… yes… but that does not mean that they should or even have the right to pull the crap listed above. However, the courts seem to think this is fine. Remember, the “regular” folk’s rights are getting pushed out everyday although the actual criminals in jail sure seem to have plenty of “rights”

As far as I’m concerned, when it’s ok for the cops to lie to kids and parents…. the system has not only failed, but is striving to teach those kids that lying is not only acceptable… but a common practice.

This folks, is sad and will contribute to the constant decay of what once was, our morals as a country. The police force was intended to protect the “good guys” … not use them to do a job that they are either to lazy to do in the first place or just to damn dumb!

The present situation really makes me think of the cops as “legal crooks” as it gets to be a case more and more of not being able to trust ANYBODY that is in a “position of power”. This my friends is not only sad… but rather scary don’t you think?

Duh factor in the security

Filed under: General — Administrator @ 12:05 am

When something is worth a considerable amount of money, you’d expect it to be guarded considerably well. Now if said item was in a museum … you would think it would be real tough to just walk away with it huh? Well now, add the duh factor and anything is possible :)

VALLETTA, Malta (AP) — A tiny moon rock believed to be worth about $5 million was stolen from a museum in Malta, 30 years after President Richard Nixon donated it to the Mediterranean island nation.

windows fla… duh again!

Filed under: General — Administrator @ 9:47 am

I doubt that is comes as a surprise to anyone that there’s been another windows flaw discovered….

Maybe it’s time for a DUH award???

SAN FRANCISCO, California (Reuters) — A flaw in Microsoft’s almost universally used Windows operating system could allow hackers to take control of a PC by luring users to a malicious Web site and coaxing them into clicking on a link, the company warned on Tuesday.

No duh on this one

Filed under: General — Administrator @ 8:56 am

After talking about all the actual duh factors out in our world these days, it’s actually nice to see something that makes some sense!

Get ready, there’s a new episode of the Dick Van Dyke show being made. None of this old sit down and have the actors talk about the “old days” … these guys are doing it right and continuing the story where it left off. This was always one of my favorite shows and I must admit, it’s actually something I want my kids to see. (a rarity anymore with TV nowadays)

another net worm

Filed under: General — Administrator @ 4:51 pm

Have you heard the headlines yet:

Sasser worm rips through Internet

I don’t know about all of you but when is it going to hit the point where we say enough! Isn’t it about time we actually did something serious to the folks comitting this crime? It’s costing us all more money indirectly by costing business more money. The point of duh here, is that this kind of thing is still happening on a regular basis.
